Welcome! Ozark LMSC (Local Masters Swimming Committee) is a nonprofit organization that functions as the local governing body of US Masters Swimming (USMS) within the Ozark region near St. Louis, Missouri. Geographic bondaries include the state of Missouri east of and including the counties of Scotland, Knox, Shelby, Monroe, Pike, Montgomery, Osage, Miller, Camden, Dallas, Webster, Douglas, and Ozark. In the state of Illinois, the counties of Calhoun, Greene, Jackson, Jersey, Madison, St. Clair, and Monroe. Ozark LMSC is #22 of 52 USMS LMSCs in 8 zones and is part of the Breadbasket Zone.

2025 Shea Challenge Long Course Meters Meet – 7/19/25
Southern Illinois University Student Recreation Center – Dr. Ed Shea Natotorium, 300 E Grand Ave, Carbondale, IL
Thank you to all those who helped make the Saluki Masters (SLAM/SALUK) annual Shea Challenge LCM meet a success; thirty-five competitors swam, nineteen were Saluki Masters members and the rest came from northern Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.
The two Shea Challenge Events are the “Sprint No-Brainer” – 50m Fly, Back, Breast, Free plus a novelty 100m IM; and the “Iron Swimmer Glutton” – 200m Fly, Back, Breast plus 400m IM and 1500m Free. Swimmers completing these challenges earn a commemorative t-shirt. All swimmers were welcomed to a post-meet social at Italian Village.
Sixteen Ozark LMSC records were set as were twenty-four pool records and twenty-two Saluki Masters records (note: “/s ” indicates official time from an event split).
